3 Ways We Make Your Dental Care More Affordable

At Shore Points General and Implant Dentistry, your dentist understands the financial investment that comes with dental care. Whether you’re seeking a metal-free dental crown that doesn’t shine a spotlight on your weakened tooth or you need root canal therapy to eliminate pain caused by an infection, the cost is often the leading factor in determining how you choose to proceed. Instead of forgoing these treatments until a more “convenient” time, we want our patients to have access to affordable dental care all the time, so nothing gets pushed to the back burner. Click on the icons below to learn how we can help you keep more money in your pocket while taking better care of your smile.

Frequently Asked Questions

Whether you are an existing patient or someone looking for a practice that offers comprehensive, one-of-a-kind dentistry, there’s a good chance you have many questions. Our dentist is committed to providing transparent communication with all patients, which is why you will find the answers to some of the most frequently asked questions we hear below.

How do I find the best place to get dental work done?

Do you want a place that offers comprehensive dental care? Do you want a practice that is located near your home or office? Are you looking to stay in-network? Is it your plan to pursue specialized dental care?

Knowing what you want will help you narrow down your options and identify the right kind of dental practice that works for you. At Shore Points General and Implant Dentistry, we offer an array of services designed to meet all types of oral healthcare needs. We also have convenient office hours that allow patients to come in early as well as schedule appointments in the late evening two days of the week.

How do I get emergency dental care?

Any time you are faced with a serious dental injury, you should plan to call your dentist as soon as possible. Our team is pleased to offer same-day appointments for emergency patients. Not only will we work quickly to identify a time to get you in to see Dr. Aptaker, but we’ll also provide helpful tips to manage your pain at home.

Avoiding dental treatment for a sudden injury is never a good idea, so no matter the level of pain or severity of the damage, it’s always better to call us and alert us to the situation. Over the phone, we can determine if you need to come in right away or if you can wait a day or two before seeking treatment.

How much does a dental checkup and cleaning cost near Sea Girt?

On average, a normal dental checkup and cleaning costs between $200 and $350 in the United States. However, if you have dental insurance, it may cost you nothing at all. Much of the price depends on various factors, such as the geographic location of the dental office and your overall dental health.

A typical dental checkup will include a discussion of your medical history as well as diagnostic X-rays, a thorough exam from a dentist, a professional cleaning, and an oral cancer screening.

If your dentist is an in-network provider, there’s a good chance these services have already been pre-negotiated with the insurance company, which means they’re likely to pay 80-100% of the total cost of your preventive care.

What do you do if you can’t afford a dentist?

You may be tempted to avoid seeing the dentist if you do not think you can afford it, but this is never the right idea. Forgoing treatment will only result in worsening symptoms that later require complex, costly dental care.

If you have dental insurance, make sure to use it. Your plan can help you save thousands of dollars in restorative and emergency care. However, if you are uninsured, you can still receive affordable dentistry by applying for flexible financing through CareCredit. This unique financier allows you to break up your treatment costs into manageable monthly installments.
